LONG-LIST
COUPON ODDS
The Long-List Odds are the Home Win, Draw and Away Win prices
which are listed on UK bookmaker's fixed odds football coupons. The
bookie's covered are Coral, Hill, Ladbrokes, Tote and SuperSoccer
and files include all league, cup and international games which
appear on their coupons. These are for the coming weekend or
mid-week matches. Long-list files are compressed within..... ODDSddmm.zip
Descriptions and links to examples or file
extracts .....
ODDSddmm.TXT ( example... LL1 )
ODDSddmm.TXT ( example... LL2 )
These text files show home, draw and away long-list odds for the
five UK bookmakers. The file ends with a brief statistical summary.
The 'best' odds for each match are indicated. These odds are in the
traditional UK format, just as they appear on the bookie's soccer
coupon. That is the odds take the form 2/1, 11/10, 4/7, etc.
In the first of the two examples (.LL1.),
a weekend file is provided. The second (.LL2.),
a mid-week file, which will be seen to include both league and
international matches.
EUROddmm.TXT (
example... LL3 )
Another text file. This gives the long-list odds in 'decimal' format
which are widely used throughout Europe and on the internet. These
odds show the total return for a one unit bet.... 3.00, 2.10, 1.57,
etc. The file is otherwise as above with best prices highlighted
with an asterisk.
ODDSddmm.CSV (
example... LL4 )
The file format is comma-separated (.CSV.)
which is suitable for import into spreadsheet applications such as
Excel. These are odds in traditional odds format taken directly from
the football coupon for the forthcoming matches. The column headings
are home, draw and away odds for each of the five bookmakers.
EUROddmm.CSV (
example... LL5 )
The file format is again comma-separated but these are the decimal
odds converted from the tradtional style shown on the coupon. They
are home, draw and away prices for each bookmaker and values
indicate the return on a one unit bet.
These decimal odds can be more readily analysed and manipulated in a
spreadsheet than the original coupon odds.
BOOKddmm.TXT (
example... LL6 )
There are five text files of this kind, one for each bookmaker. In
the file name 'BOOK' is replaced by LADB=Ladbrokes, HILL=William
Hill, CORA=Coral, SUPS=SuperSoccer and STAN=Tote. There are four
sections in each file.....
1. BOOKIE'S ODDS ANALYSES ~ This shows the coupon line
number and home and away teams. The home, draw and away odds are
listed as they appear on the weekend or mid-week coupons. The return
on a £1 stake has been calculated (ignoring tax) and each line ends
with the over-rounded probabilities for that match. Over-rounds
above 100% are a measure of the bookie's profit margin. The larger
this value the more profit the bookmaker is taking from a bet.
2. HOME-AWAY SORT ~ The odds values are sorted from
best to poorest home odds. This means that the odds for aways
will generally be arranged in reverse order, that is from the
poorest to the best away odds. So it's easy to identifier the best
and poorest home and away prices on the coupon.
3. DRAW SORT ~ Coupon draw odds have been sorted from
the best to the poorest value.
4. ODDS-BASED FORECASTS ~ A rough forecasting guide
making use of probabilities which are based upon the bookies 'fair'
odds. That is the probability percentages for each result which are
calculated from odds without the bookie's over-round included. The
differences between home and away probabilities determine prediction
ratings. The higher rated draw probabilities are shown. Asterisks
provide a guide to the 'strength' of each prediction.
BOOKddmm.CSV ( example... LL7 )
There are five files in which 'BOOK' is replaced by one of five
bookmakers in the file name. LA=Ladbrokes, HI=William Hill,
CO=Coral, SU=SuperSoccer and ST=Tote. These CSV files are suitable
for import and analyses in spreadsheet applications. For each
bookmaker files show coupon line, home and away teams, odds as they
appear on football coupons and odds as decimal values.

HALF-TIME
FULL-TIME ODDS
The HTFT Odds are also known as 'double results' odds. There
are nine possibilities for half and full-time home, draw and away
result combinations. These are HH, DH, AH, HD, DD, AD, HA, DA and
AA. The HTFT odds offered by each of the five bookmakers are
based upon the value of the long-list coupon odds and are determined
using a variety of charts provided by the bookmakers. In the files
sent, the HTFT odds have been calculated using a computer program
for the forthcoming weekend or mid-week matches. So there is no need
to go through the tedious chart checking procedures. The HTFT files
are compressed within....
ODDSddmm.zip
BKHFddmm.TXT (
example... HTFT1 )
Text files where BK=bookmaker in the file name. So, LA=Ladbrokes,
HI=William Hill, CO=Coral, SU=SuperSoccer and TO=Tote. There
are five files of this kind, one for each bookmaker. Files show
half-time full-time decimal odds for each of the nine possible HTFT
results HH, DH, AH, HD, DD, AD, HA, DA and AA. So the HTFT
returns are known for every match and for every bookmaker and for
all weekend and mid-week matches.
These files also provide information which effectively permit
singles to be bet on any match, thus avoiding UK 'High Street'
bookmaker's restrictions on single bets. This is done by placing
three separate HTFT bets. For example to bet an 'effective' HOME WIN
single place three separate HTFT bets HH, DH and AH.
HTFTddmm.TXT (
example... HTFT2 )
This text file is similar to that described above (.BKHFddmm.TXT.).
However there is only one file of this kind covering and comparing
HTFT odds for all five bookmakers. It shows the best available
half-time full-time decimal odds for each of the nine possible HTFT
results. The bookie, or bookies, providing the best prices are
indicated with L=Ladbrokes, H=Hill, C=Coral, S=SuperSoccer and
T=Tote. The best value HTFT odds can be identified. As above, this
file can be used to calculate wagers and find the best value when
placing 'effective singles' which avoid restrictions on the
placement of single bets on the coupon 'long-list'.
BKHFddmm.CSV (
example... HTFT3 )
These are useful files for analyses in spreadsheet applications such
as Excel. In the file name 'BK' identifies the bookie. LA=Ladbrokes,
HI=William Hill, CO=Coral, SU=SuperSoccer and ST=Tote. Each file
shows the bookie.(bk), coupon line
number.(ln), coupon date.(c-date)
in format yyyymmdd, and the home and away teams. And, most
importantly, all nine HTFT odds for each match on the coupon in
decimal format.
HFddmm.CSV ( example... HTFT4 )
One file simply showing the HTFT odds for all bookmakers and for
every match. Ideal for spreadsheet analyses. The file identifies the
bookmaker.(b) as L=Ladbrokes, H=Hill,
C=Coral, U=SuperSoccer and S=Tote. It gives the coupon line number.(ln),
home and away teams, coupon date.(c_date)
in format yyyymmdd, and shows the match as a league or cup game.(lc).

bookmakers. CS odds data is provided on file for the following 24
scores.....
Home and Away Wins : 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0, 3-1, 3-2, 4-0, 4-1, 4-2,
5-0. Draws : 0-0, 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3.
Correct Score data is sent in the compressed file.....
ODDSddmm.zip
BKCSddmm.TXT (
example... CS1 )
In the name of these text files 'BK' is replaced with LA=Ladbrokes,
HI=Hill, CO=Coral, SU=SuperSoccer and ST=Tote.
These five files show the weekend or mid-week coupon line
numbers, team names and odds for the 24 scores listed above. All
odds are in traditional UK format.
CSddmm.TXT (
example... CS2 )
A single text file which analyses and compares the correct score
odds of five bookies. The weekend or mid-week coupon line numbers
and teams are shown. The bookie(s) providing the best CS odds are
indicated for each of 24 scores. In this file L=Ladbrokes, H=Hill,
C=Coral, S=SuperSoccer and T=Tote. Also shown, the percentage
over-round, which indicates the profit each bookie is taking on the
odds offered for these sets of 24 scores. There is a final summary
shows the number of occasions each bookmaker provides the best odds
for home, draw and away results.
BKddmm.CSV ( example... CS3 )
Five correct score files to import into spreadsheet applications for
manipulation and analyses of data. One file for each bookmaker. In
the file name replace 'BK' with LA=Ladbrokes, HI=William Hill,
CO=Coral, SU=SuperSoccer and TO=Tote. Twentyfour columns of correct
score odds for each match in traditional UK plus decimal format.
These files also show the bookie.(bk),
whether uk or decimal odds.(odds),
coupon date.(c_date) in format yyyymmdd,
coupon line number.(ln) and the home
and away team names.
